GREEN-NOVA

GREEN-NOVA is an innovative European project that aims to strengthen sustainability education in Vocational Education and Training (VET) by integrating the GreenComp framework, digital learning tools, and industry-driven content. Responding to the EU’s goal of climate neutrality by 2050 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the project equips educators, learners, and entrepreneurs with the green and digital competences needed for emerging careers in the green economy. Through ICT-based training modules, storytelling methodologies, and a mobile learning app, GREEN-NOVA bridges gaps between sustainability education and real-world professional practice, fostering economic resilience, inclusion, and long-term impact.

 

GREEN-NOVA aims to:

1. Equip VET educators with GreenComp-aligned teaching methods and digital training resources.
2. Support VET learners and aspiring entrepreneurs through storytelling-based guidance, real-life case studies, and career pathways in sustainability.
3. Develop an interactive mobile learning app that enhances green and digital skills through accessible, gamified content.
4. Promote the wide dissemination and long-term adoption of green competences in VET through strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and industry collaboration.

 

Primary target groups include:
– VET learners in green economy-related fields such as renewable energy, eco-tourism, sustainable construction, and green technologies.
– Individuals seeking reskilling or upskilling for green and digital careers.
– Aspiring entrepreneurs and startup founders developing sustainable business ideas.

Secondary target groups include:
– VET educators, trainers, and administrators seeking to integrate sustainability competences into their teaching practices.
– Local businesses, industry stakeholders, and organizations collaborating with VET providers to align workforce skills with sustainability and digital transition needs.
