Games 4 Green: Learning serious video game coding for green awareness
“Games 4 Green” is an innovative project funded by the European Union, under the Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training program. Launching on December 31, 2022, and spanning 24 months, this initiative seeks to harness the compelling world of video gaming to foster green awareness and sustainable practices among the youth and wider community.
Objectives
At its core, “Games 4 Green” aims to:
- Empower the youth with the skills and knowledge to develop video games that promote sustainability and environmental consciousness.
- Create a suite of serious games that address crucial themes like climate change, recycling, and green living.
- Bolster employability in the digital and gaming sectors by providing modular training and personal learning environments for continuous skill advancement.
- Encourage gender diversity and inclusion in the video game development sector.
